It’s like I think straight men are genuinely afraid having a sense of style in their home makes them gay or something which is sad because I imagine that if I liked men I’d judge the kind of person he is by how he lives. Like I think women would actually find it attractive if your living space is not completely void of all personal taste and personality lmao
When I was small and easily wounded, books were my carapace. If I were recalled to my hurts in the middle of a book they somehow mattered less. My corporeal life was slight the dazzling one in my head was what really mattered. Returning to books was coming home.
in australia, voting is mandatory and you get a fine if you don’t vote (unless you can give a good reason why you couldn’t make it to vote)
and, yet, the conservative party are still in control of the government here. encouraging people to vote is like.. sure. its fine. like it might help a little, but its not a cure for your problems. there are other real problems causing this stuff.
