yay! if you want to send me a message, go for it 🙂
I did it last Friday, and it’s my 4th year in this university now, so some little tips:
1). Google your major (i did: “brochure paris 3 licence lettres”) beforehand so you know what classes you can choose. Their website is shit, so take some time to find the whole info!
2). Once you’ve done this, and have a general look over what you’re interested in (tip: never take a class in a subject you already know/like. It WILL be a disappointment. Instead i’d advise you to take the classes that look either weird or boring. Most of the time it’s not and you will actually learn things! avoid classes that look shiny & new tho, usually theyre empty) you can start you IP web. Don’t forget to report the code of each class you’re interested in / might want to go (because 2 classes you’re interested in are gonna be at the same time. it WILL happen.) to make things easier.
3). Go to the website. It’s like ipweb.paris3 or something (you can find it easily on google). You’ll have to have your numéro d’étudiant & password, then confirm infos on where you live, things like this
4). Then the hard part is starting. You’ll have to adapt to their awful website lmao also the classes are referenced by their code (F05IJ02 things like this). The fun part is that you first choose the classes AND THEN discover your schedule. You’re probably gonna give up on some classes bc theyre at the same time as others. Don’t worry – it’s like this for everyone. Make sure you write down your schedule & that you chose a class amongts those you have to go to. If you do this at first without looking at the brochure you’re gonna choose your classes without knowing the bibliography or what theyre about, so be careful!
wishing you a stress-free time on that horrid website!!!
don’t hesitate to tell me what classes you chose (if youre in literature i might help with the professors so you can ask for advice!!) xoxo
also to my greatest surprise i actually passed a lot of classes last year so i’ll have some free time this year, i chose the following classes:
– lectures d’un auteur : Jean Genet
– atelier d’écriture poétique
– écriture créative
– identité et altérité
– commentaire et réécriture (la parodie littéraire)
– histoire de l’art britannique
– histoire de l’orthographe française (it looks bugged tho i dont know when its supposed to take place)
