More specifically, growing up female is being angry towards your mom for not letting you go to your friends house with male relatives. Your mom not letting you see your grandpa because ‘he is a bad man’. Developing anxiety about being seen around men. It is being told how to scream if someone touches you, and not being told how to appropraitely deal with your period.
Growing up female is slowly learning why as you grow. Whether it be by bitter force, or the painful realization. Every girl grows up to be afraid their entire life.
