i feel like the grip of PTSD and depression on me is slowly loosening. im able to do things, and feel excited about books, again… im actually able to write about this. life feels so much more peaceful. ive lived 20 years with this shit and im so close to the surface im starting to see the sunlight from underwater. this is so good. i can physically feel myself becoming warmer and kinder, and basically becoming the person i so deeply needed when i was younger. i cant believe its actually getting better!

now all i wanna do is take care of people and things. especially younger mentally ill people, like some kind of nice and caring older sibling, and this…. brings so much joy, actually!

im also learning that lucid anger is the single most empowering thing, and that being angry doesn’t mean you cant be a gentle person. ive been robbed of my anger for so long! it feels so much more right to be angry. its healing! l

i love finding books you want to read at rummage sales and library sales and used bookstores… like you’ve been meaning to get around to this book for ages and then it just happens to be in this place where you happened to end up and it’s like, you!! i recognize your cover!! were you waiting for me!!

But what I truly truly dislike is the way I feel like radical feminism will both weaponize cis women’s trauma while also naturalizing it? Like it’s fucked up to me to try to sell an ideology to traumatized women like: “and you have suffered and you will always suffer because you were born to suffer.”

Instead of: “it’s unfair that men have made you endure such horrible suffering in your life, let’s band together to try to stop this or in the least, heal.” There’s this sort of perpetual abysmal attitude about women’s suffering and it just strikes me as cruel

@tariqah yes!! Exactly
