i am so Tired of ”””progressive””” men in liberal academic circles ‘embracing’ gender non conformity through the medium of flower crown filters, nail polish and blue eyeliner while being very much gender conforming when it comes to keeping the faculty kitchen clean, taking a turn organising birthday/retirement/congratulation cards and cakes for colleagues, respectfully listening to women in seminars, refusing to participate in all-male panels/workshops, and all the other ways they could refuse to conform to masculinity that are less pleasant than posting a pastel selfie and getting validation for being So Gosh Darn Woke

How exactly does someone act masculine while cleaning the kitchen? Or while making a birthday cake?

yall ever serve urself an appropriate amount of spaghetti and are full after eating the set amount of spaghetti and consciously know that u have eaten all the spaghetti u needed but also. u know that there is More spaghetti in the kitchen. so u go and get urself more spaghetti and spend the rest of the night feeling like u ate 30 bricks cursing urself for eating so much spaghetti

honey is the only food product that never spoils. there are pots of honey that are over five thousand years old and still completely edible

i also want to point out we know it tastes the same even after thousands of years b/c archaeologists who discovered two thousand year old honey tasted it. presumably right after they looked at each other and went “what the hell here goes nothing”

I’m pretty sure they also identify human remains by taste. Archaeologists are straight up freaks.

No, no no… you identify bone from rock or other substances by touching it to your tongue. If it sticks, it’s bone. The taste itself has nothing to do with it. And most archaeologists won’t lick human bones if they know they’re human.

…and I realize that doesn’t actually do much to prove archaeologists aren’t freaks.

mai nam is jane

i lik the bone

I’m sitting with a bunch of archaeologists and we just laughed so hard we CRIED we’re getting tshirts with this on them
