Marilyn Monroe and Don Murray promoting BUS STOP (1957).
Said Don Murray later: “The first time I saw her, actually it was for some publicity shots. She came on to the Twentieth-Century Fox outdoor set and they introduced us: ‘Don, this is Marilyn.’ Hello, hello. ‘Now pick her up and put her on your shoulder.’ I had no chance to say hello, you know. It was that kind of introduction. And she was in make-up for the film, which is a white, pasty, very clown-like make-up.”
