so i have a lesbian friend who 1). didnt know about Sappho until i told her who she was yesterday (shes a literature student,,,,) and 2). is extremely against militantism & believes heterophobia exists and that its exactly the same thing as homophobia lmao whats going on

when i told her about Sappho she said “oh but im not like LGBT or any of those things” & i felt my soul leaving my body as i replied “sweetie you’re literally a lesbian. thats like, the first letter of the acronym”
