im happy your mom goes ice climbing, but I feel what I was trying to say was missed. just because a relationship is fun and happy doesn’t mean there isn’t a power imbalance present. age, like money, is power. and it’s an imbalance of power that propagates gender based violence. age-gap relationships will always leave room for abuse, because the difference in age is a difference in power.
