why cant men in academic spaces……. shut the fuck up
like there were literally four times more women than men in this class and they… just kept speaking……. like dude… shut up
the few women who talked had interesting takes that were relevant to the subject while the men just…… heard themselves talk………… repeating what the previous man had just said……… do men function like dogs who need to piss right where the previous dog had pissed to cancel its smell???? do you really HAVE to be the last one speaking????????? god shut up already!!!!!!! SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also bc its relevant… this was a masterclass animated by 2 professors, a man and a woman (who i know bc she teaches 2 of my other classes) and like……… the male professor spoke a good 80% of the class like???? sometimes i could see the other professor trying to speak but he didnt let her like…. she literally had to ASK to speak…. pleasantly of course but………. all of her interventions were insightful and started deeper reasonings……. while the man’s speech was pretty messy and repetitive although interesting………. he even “jokingly” accused her of interrupting him when she took the opportunity of him ending a long sentence to like……… add something………. and this woman truly is brilliant and cultured but,,,
im so mad right now
anyway all women are smarter than men and thats that on that!!!
As someone who spent 5 years in uni in a female-dominated field, I concluded that men speak for the #aesthetic.
In first year we were 230 students with 6 boys, and the only one who spoke were the boys. To say nothing in particular. Just to speak. Because it was the °*°uni life°*° and they thought they were in the american movies where the brillant students are all buddy/buddy with the teachers, with all the advantages it supposes, and of course, they never doubt they were brillant.
And the fun part is, they indeed had good grades. Because they all signed up for beginner classes in latin and foreign languages, where they already had solid notions. Some were even fluent and would speak in latin for the fun, and they took beginner classes where they all started at rosa rosa rosam with the other real beginners. And they all thought themselves as geniuses because they lowered so drastically the teachers expectations.
Meanwhile, the perfecting classes were 100% female, and of course, we were far from having 20/20 all the time.
Men go to uni to succeed. Women go to learn.
