No conversation around sexual violence is complete without a serious look at the culture which produces adolescent boys encouraging each other through positive and negative reinforcement to prove their social status through the use of direct sexual harassment of adolescent girls. 

Like if you remain ignorant to how certain populations of boys will actively threaten to ostracize or violently dominate certain targeted boys who do not perform a mandated amount of sexual harassment – you remain ignorant to the very processes through which young men learn to associate their personal material success with the sexual domination of women in their life. 

Boys are not born with the inclination to harm those who respect women, they learn from adults, media, and the greater culture that such behavior is actively weak, undesirable, and foolish. It is this very process through which the archetype of the “Nice Guy” as a loser emerges.
