I wrote that fucking post about a specific type of lesbian who prides herself on not conforming to stereotypes because yeah, she’s gay, but she’s not one of those lesbians. She’s a lesbian but not a dyke. She isn’t like all the other dykes out there who have short hair and wear flannels. She can bond with straight people over their shared disdain for lesbians who dare to be themselves and do anything homophobes deem too gay.
