i find it completely mindblowing the way some of you talk about children. y’all call them demons, spawn of satan, etc. ive seen people laughing at videos of children falling or injuring themselves, saying they deserve it. i can’t believe i have to say this, but kids are people. they are supposed to be curious, and loud, and excitable. they ask a lot of questions because they are learning and don’t know any better. if you look at a child with anything but kindness and respect, there’s a place in hell reserved for you. i still vividly remember the hateful looks adults would direct at me when i was a child, and i was raised to be extremely quiet and polite. it’s scary when you’re young and an authority figure is mean to you for no reason. stop saying you hate kids, you freaks! just don’t have any if they’re that completely awful to you

Hey how about instead of getting salty over some people not liking children you try to understand why those people have such a strong reaction against children. Maybe it’s because of the pressure (particularly on women) to have children, and the unspoken ideology that your lief is worthless if you don’t procreate. Maybe it’s because every time they tell someone they don’t want kids they either get told “you’ll change your mind” (as if this person knows you and your own mind better than you do) or “you’ve not got long left before you can’t have them so get started now” (the implication being that you’ll regret not having them, once again assuming they know what you want better than you). Maybe it’s because every time they showed kindness to a child, those people felt validated, as if smiling at a baby on the bus is the same as birthing and raising a child. Every child you see is a reminder of these people and everywhere you go there are children, so you get frustrated. 

Even if this isn’t the case, kids are noisy and obnoxious and sometimes you just want a bit of peace and quiet
