“Being trans isn’t a choice” is just such a pointless rhetoric. It’s an issue to transphobes because they want to argue that if it’s a choice they’re allowed to be violent, deny healthcare, hurt and oppress trans people. And the liberal mindframe thinks “well then, it’s not a choice!” is the best argument, which gives way to eugenics and roles you’re expected to play, which isolates and removes people not fitting in through violence and peer harassment.

Don’t play their bigoted game. No one deserves that treatment whether it’s a choice or not. Choice doesn’t matter. Our healthcare, our rights, our lives matter.
